Father of the bride’s Wedding Speech

The wedding of my daughter and my son in law was a great experience – not only for the bridal couple but also for the parents, families and all the guests. One of the highlights of this wonderful celebration was the father of the bride’s wedding speech. For almost everyone present it came as a big surprise that I was giving the speech in English. My daughter and my son in law were completely surprised and absolutely thrilled… they clearly had never ever expected this. Again and again not only the bridal couple but also many of the foreign guests – even some from England (London) – commented on the superb translation and wording of the speech as well as on my accurate characterisation of my daughter.
Of course, prior to the wedding, I had been practicing the correct English pronunciation over and over again with the help of the audio file (mp3 recording) and I succeeded extremely well as could be seen from the reaction of all the guests!
