Project Example: Wedding Speech

This is a good example of common translation pitfalls – a humorous speech which was made at a wedding. Since the bride’s parents only spoke German and the speech was made in English a German translation of the text was necessary. Many thanks to Paul Reeves for allowing us to include his brilliant “Best Man’s Speech” here.

A new and extremely pleasant challenge was the translation of a very unusual comic book, which has a brilliant, gripping storyline and consists of cleverly and artistically produced photographs of Playmobil toys in either real landscapes or imaginatively created settings: THE GREEN MAN.
